Stockton Town Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of former Middlesbrough and Scunthorpe United striker Tyrone O’Neill.
The 22-year-old, who was also a former Stockton youth player, spent part of last season on loan with Darlington in the National League North.
Having started in Middlesbrough’s Academy, he signed his first professional contract in 2018 and made his debut under former manager Tony Pulis – in the EFL Cup game against Notts County.
The striker, who made his Football League debut against Leeds United, signed with Scunthorpe at the start of the 2021/22 season – and made four appearances before joining the Quakers on loan.
Assistant manager JD Briggs said: “We are really pleased to add Tyrone to the squad for the season. Tyrone has excellent quality and gives us something different in Midfield and another Attacking option!
“We managed to get him over the line today and he will be in the squad for tomorrow’s Emirates FA Cup game.
“We hope to have another big crowd at the game tomorrow getting behind the lads!”
Stockton take on Pontefract Collieries at home tomorrow afternoon – 3pm kick-off.
