Stockton Town are delighted to announce the signing of  Joshua Baggs from Consett AFC.
Baggs started his career in Sunderland’s Academy playing for both the U18’s and U23’s. He made 18 appearances in the Under-18 Premier League and scored five goals. Since leaving Sunderland Baggs has played for Seaham Red Star and more recently Consett.
A versatile defender Josh can play in either full back position or centre half and will be a valuable addition to the Stockton squad.
On the signing, Manager Michael Dunwell said: “We’ve seen Josh a few times now and he has stood out each time and he has also done well against us previously. With Dan McWilliams picking up an injury it’s left us short defensively and we need to strengthen in that area. Josh will be ideal for that position but can also play anywhere across the back four so is great cover too.”
“He will go straight into the squad for tomorrow’s game at Dunston.”
Welcome to Stockton, Josh
