Stockton Town Ladies maintained their 100% start to their league campaign with a 5-1 win at Horden CW on Sunday afternoon.
Talia Korucu continued her excellent start to the season with the opener before Demi-Leigh Tapping doubled the lead for a two-goal half time lead.
Korucu completed her brace early in the second half to make it safe. Further goals were added through Kaitlyn Bell who was named Player of the Match, and Milly McNamee from the penalty spot. b
Commenting on the game, Manager Chris Murphy said: “Another great result for the girls, Horden made life tough and had a game plan to minimise the space playing with a low block.
“We had to ensure we utilised the possession we had to create opportunities which I thought the girls did really well both centrally and from wide areas,
“However it took a change of shape to make the breakthrough with 2 quick goals to give us the lead at half time.”
It’s a break from league action next weekend when they face a tough test in the Durham County Cup at Chester-Le-Street Town’s First Team.
