Stockton Town Ladies put on a dominant display at the MAP Group Stadium, cruising to a 5-0 victory over Hartlepool Pools Youth in a game they controlled from start to finish.
The opening goal came courtesy of Erin Harkin, who rose highest from a perfectly delivered corner to power a header into the net. Stockton continued to pile on the pressure, and it wasn’t long before their second came. Demi-Leigh Tapping threaded an inch-perfect through ball to Kaitlyn Bell, who slotted home with precision to make it 2-0 going into the break.
The second half saw Stockton step up another gear, with Tapping taking center stage. She scored not one, but two breathtaking long-range efforts – the first from 25 yards, the second from 30 – that left the Pools goalkeeper rooted to the spot.
New signing Olivia Banks put the icing on the cake in the 88th minute, capping her debut with a well-taken goal to round off an impressive team performance.
Stockton’s defence and midfield were equally impressive, nullifying Pools’ reliance on long balls with ease and ensuring a clean sheet to accompany their attacking display.
The result highlights the Ladies’ quality and cohesion, as they continue their strong form this season.
Next up for the Anchoresses is a trip to Darlington Spraire Ladies for the reverse fixture on December 8th.
