Stockton Town Ladies team captain Michaela Garvey has expressed her delight after it was announced her team won promotion to the sixth tier of the Women’s football pyramid.
Michaela opened by stating: “I couldn’t be prouder of this group of players and what we’ve achieved this season. Promotion to the North East Regional Women’s Football League is a huge milestone for us and a testament to the hard work, dedication, and belief everyone has shown week in, week out.”
Next, she highlights the season as a whole: “We’ve had some incredible moments on the pitch this season. Some big wins, tough battles, and memories we’ll never forget, but what makes this team so special is the bond we’ve built off it.”
The skipper, who also does so much for the youngsters within the club, closed by giving thanks: “A massive thank you to the coaches, supporters, and everyone behind the scenes who believed in us from the start. We’re excited for the challenges ahead and can’t wait to represent Stockton Town at the next level. This is just the beginning!”
