Anchoresses Bounce Back With Comeback Victory

Stockton Town Ladies quickly put last week’s disappointing defeat behind them as they came back from Gateshead Leam Rangers with all three points after a 3-2 victory.

After trailing 2-1 at the half-time break following Demi-Leigh Tapping’s goal, Chris Murphy’s side showed fantastic resilience to complete the comeback and come away 3-2 winners.

Stockton’s stars Kaitlyn Bell and Talia Korucu both shined to score the goals in the second half, coming in the 75th and 86th minutes respectively.

With some key players missing due to injuries and suspensions, it led to two first team debuts being handed to under-18 prodigies Erin White and Colby Hobson, with Hobson coming on early in the first half to play over 70 minutes, and White helping the fight back late in the second 45.

The Anchoresses remain in second position in the table with a superb 12 points from their five opening games.
