Stockton Town Ladies set for home matchup on Sunday

Stockton Town Ladies are at the MAP Group UK Stadium on Sunday as they face a tough test against Birtley Town.

The game kicks off at 2pm on Sunday 25th January and entry is free for all.

Birtley beat the Anchors to the league title last year, but Stockton got one over them earlier in the season, knocking them out of the County Cup and earning a home tie against FAWNL side Norton & Stockton Ancients in the semi-finals.

Stockton come into the game following an astounding victory at Hartlepool United at the weekend, winning 7-2 to lift them up to 7th place, with many games in hand on the teams above.

Kaitlyn Bell, Anna Murphy, Chloe McKinnell, Tiana Hudson, Talia Korucu and Grace Campbell x2 all found the target for Stockton last week.

Birtley enter the game third in the standings, in the midst of a title challenge, and will undoubtedly prove a difficult challenge for Chris Murphy’s side.
