Stockton Town Football Club can confirm the launch of a FIFA World Cup 2022 Predictions League for the upcoming tournament.
Following the success of our UEFA Euro 2022 Predictions League, with over 130 entrants in the competition, we’re can confirm a second edition for the forthcoming World Cup.
The tournament, which will take place in the Northern Hemisphere winter season for the very first time, will get underway on Sunday 20 November and run through to Sunday 18 December – just seven days before Christmas Day.
Gareth Southgate’s England – who finished fourth at the 2018 World Cup – are placed in Group B of the tournament, with the Three Lions set to face Iran, the United States and rivals Wales in the first stage.
With our Predictions League, each person will enter their predictions for the tournament winner, group winners, top goalscorer and game results.

One entry per person, and the winner will be announced once the tournament is completed.
Points will be awarded for the following:
- 25 points for the tournament winner.
- 15 points for the top goalscorer.
- 10 points if predicted winner finishes runner-up.
- 8 points for each group winner.
- 5 points for a correct score.
- 2 points for a correct result.
Should two or more entrants be level on points at the end of the tournament, the entrant with the most correct scores predicted will finish highest.
There are three prizes on offer:
- 1st place: Signed Stockton Town replica shirt.
- 2nd place: Four free tickets for a home game of choice during the 2022/23 season.
- 3rd place: Two free tickets for a home game of choice during the 2022/23 season.
