An Evening with Steve Howey Hosted by Jeff Winter
Steve Howey the former professional footballer who made more than 300 appearances in the Football League and the Premier League, playing for Newcastle United, Manchester City, Leicester City, Bolton Wanderers and Hartlepool United.
His main playing position was as a central defender. He will be most remembered for his days with the North East side Newcastle United where he made nearly 200 appearances and scoring 6 goals. Steve earned four caps for England and was part of the Euro 96 squad. He also played briefly for the New England Revolution of Major League Soccer. Howey is still a very popular figure in Newcastle and now co-presents Total Sport on BBC Newcastle.
