Stockton 1 Darlington 3
Stockton scorer Joe Posthill
Darlington Scorers James Morley, Nathan Stephenson, Matthew Raisbeck
Stockton started very poorly but in turn Darlington were very good from the off and got at Stockton with a total domination of possesion but in fairness to Stockton without really threatening the goal of the Anchors. A Delph moment when Stockton lost JP Lynch to injury after no longer than 4 minutes. A real loss as he has proven he is Stockton bite.
No real chances but a definates 1-0 on halves to Darlington.
Stockton message was clear that there is no way we could be that bad again and get away with it and a little shuffle in the shape and seen us get a little foothold in the game with some neat play from Gelly who played into Stonehouse who set to Joe Posthill to whip it top bin, postage stamp 1-0 Stockton.
Then after a 5 minute period where Stockton looked in control but what can only be described as a 1pm minute period of absolute school boy defending seen 2 set plays and 2 free headers for Darlington to get their noses in front. Then Stockton trying to get back in the game saw them left open at the back for Darlo to score the 3rd.
In all honesty the better team won and Stockton were lucky to get away with 3-1 as they were more than 2 goals better than us on the night.
Onto Gateshead Rutherford on Saturday to try get the winning streak going again.
