Stockton Town produced a fantastic performance in running up their biggest victory of the Season with a 7 0 win over Boldon CA and hopefully another step along the way towards our promotion ambitions. Boldon simply had no answer to Stockton’s free flowing football. Stockton started with the same 11 that had started the previous week at Prudhoe Town but their was a return to the bench for Kallum Hannah and Matty Garbutt.
Stockton were in front on 18 minutes when great work by Ben Priestly down the right saw his low cross turned home at the far post by Chris Stockton and then only 2 minutes later Chris Dunwell found the net with his follow up after Stockton had hit the bar, for Stockton’s second.
Next up for Stockton was Chris Stockton with his second of the game after a great through ball by Tony Johnson, this saw Stockton go in 3 0 up at half time.
Captain Stav Roberts then got his first of the season on 63 minutes with a great right foot effort into the far corner from 20 yards after Boldon failed to clear a corner properly. The Stockton fans then had to wait until the final 10 minutes for further goals but they were worth the wait. First Kallam Hannah who had returned from the bench following injury scored on 82 minutes, before Max Craggs smashed in one of his unstoppable drives on 85 minutes and he then followed it 3 minutes later with another fine finish following good work down the right, to leave the score 7 0 to Stockton.
