Match Report

The under 16’s started their league campaign against a strong well organised  South Park side. Stockton took the lead when good work from Jack Lacy and Luke Hallatt in midfield sent Sam Dawson clear who rifled the ball home left footed. South Park came back strongly and equalised   when the striker ran through and fired home while the Stockton defence were static claiming offside.  Stockton had chances to regain the lead when a Jack Massey long throw fell to Liam Small who saw his shot charged down by the home defence. The away side had further chance sto score when both Jack Francis and Dylon Marshall had shots saved. The home side had a chance to take the lead when the ball was hammered against Jacob Selby from one yard which the ref adjudged to be handball awarding a free kick. South Park slotted the ball home. The home side could have gone into the break two up had Charlie Bradley not made a fantastic triple save for Stockton.

Half time: South Park Rangers 2-1 Stockton Town

The second half was a scappy affair with Stockton having chances to get back in the game when Dylon Marshall and Sam Dawson both went close. South Park managed to frustrate Stockton and eventually scored two further goals to secure the win.
