Junior Team Managers / Coaches (These are volunteer positions)
Stockton Town Football Club is seeking highly motivated, enthusiastic and reliable coaches to support and develop their junior teams. Stockton Town prides itself on being a progressive and ambitious grassroots Community Football Club. As a Club we can offer access to top class training facilities including a 3G pitch and extensive grass training areas and pitches.
Person Spec:
Essential Qualifications and Requirements within the first 12 months
Hold a minimum FA Level 1 Qualification and clean DBS
Hold current and valid First Aid & Safeguarding Children certificates
F.A. Youth Module 1 (YAM 1-3 is preferred)
Preferred Qualifications and Requirements
Hold a minimum FA Level 2/3 Qualification and clean DBS
Hold current and valid First Aid & Safeguarding Children certificates
F.A. Youth Module 1, 2 & 3
Desirable Skills
Candidates will be required to commit to 2 coaching sessions a week and a Match on a Sunday.
Key qualities will include:
- Planning and delivery of technical training sessions to a group of players on a weekly basis (1 or 2 technical sessions depending on squad / age group)
- Match-day preparation and tactics
- Regular evaluation of team performance
- Regular evaluation of individual performance
- Regular communication with the Club’s Football Development Officer
- Regular communication with other members of coaching / support staff.
- To be a coach who conducts him or herself in a suitable manner on and off the pitch
- To be a coach that wants to progress and develop with every session
- To be a coach that has a passion for improving players
- Strong planning, organisational and observational skills
- Excellent communication skills with players and parents
