We hope you are all keeping well and looking forward to getting back to our Football Club as much as we are. You will probably be aware that we were given some guidance a couple of weeks ago by The FA regarding a return to football but given the fact that there didn’t appear to be an appetite to return and the fact that we couldn’t open our social facilities, we made the decision to review in a couple of weeks.
The Government has now indicated that a return to use of our social facilities is possible from the 4th July. The FA has also indicated that their conversations with Government has indicated that it may be possible to start a League Season at some point in September and this would be with crowds in attendance.
The Club has also been advised of potential scenarios for our junior players to start playing games again and our conversations with our junior team managers has shown that the majority are now keen to return to training.
Given all of the above the Club intends to return from Saturday 4th July and we have attempted to detail below some information below of how we will do this. This will of course require the best efforts from all of us to maintain a safe environment – the Club will assess this on a daily basis and respond as required by following any updated guidance received from the Government and / or The FA.
CLUBHOUSE – we will be opening on the 4th July offering the usual facilities. The Club will follow the Covid 19 secure advice from the Government prior to opening and maintain this for as long as required. We will be showing live football and will advertise in greater detail our opening times, what we have on offer and any other specific information you will need to know prior to us opening.
1st TEAM – information we received last week has indicated that we should anticipate the new playing season starting at some point in September, this of course will be subject to Government and FA guidance at the time. With this in mind the players will return to training from the 4th July and the Club will hold discussions and make arrangements for a pre season friendly schedule. We will make this available to our supporters once we have some confidence that the dates may meet with the guidance in place at the time. We will in the coming weeks look to put out regular information to keep you as informed as possible.
SEASON CARD HOLDERS – if you are an existing Season Card holder your Season Card will automatically be re-activated for another twelve months. If you are a new Season Card holder you will be able to collect your Season Card from the Club from Saturday 11th July, further details of availability will be advertised in the next few days. If you requested your Season Card to be posted out to you, this should arrive WC 12th July.
JUNIOR PLAYERS & TEAMS – the Football Club has registered all of our teams for the new season and we have received the following information from the TJFA indicating the possible scenarios for the commencement of next season.
We are looking at a return to team training starting from Saturday 4th July, however this will need to be staggered and teams will be given specific timeslots. This is to ensure that we are all following the guidelines and that we do not become overcrowded and therefore compromise anybody’s safety. Prior to your teams return to training the management and coaching team will go through a training and awareness session to ensure that we all work in the same way to keep everyone as safe as possible. We will also require the help of all our players and parents to ensure a safe return to the Club for us all. Further information will be posted on the website, our social media platforms and through the team managers on a regular basis.
SATURDAY MORNING CLUB – these sessions will NOT commence on the 4th July however the Club is targeting a return on Saturday 18th July.
DEVELOPMENT LEAGUE FOOTBALL –the Club is targeting a return during week commencing 20th July with full details to be provided in the coming weeks.
FUTSAL DEVELOPMENT SESSIONS – the Club is targeting a return during week commencing 20th July with full details to be provided in the coming weeks.
GIRLS ONLY TRAINING – the Club is targeting a return during week commencing 20th July with full details to be provided in the coming weeks.
3G PITCH HIRES & USERS – at the moment the 3G pitch will not be available for external hire but if you are interested in booking the facility in the coming weeks and months please get in touch to reserve your slot.
EXTERNAL USERS / PRIVATE HIRES – one of the areas not permitted to open presently is indoor fitness classes, however it is hoped that these classes may be able to start later in July.
