PLAYER PROFILES
Cameron Grove - Goalkeeper
Cameron has been a member of STFC for over 6 years and was virtually unbeatable as Stockton’s last line of defence during the 08/09 season, putting together a catalogue of top class saves. Cameron played his part in Stockton’s most successful season to date (08/09), finishing the season with 7 clean sheets and just 21 league goals conceded. Cameron’s exceptional reaction and agility helps breathe confidence into those players in front of him.
Reece Cowley - Defender
Team Captain Reece who is an original team member, made his debut for the club at just age 7. Reece has developed into a more than reliable performer with his energy and enthusiasm. This hard-working and calm on the ball right-back has tough tackling and effective game awareness, and is an important member of Stockton Town.
Jacob Dennis - Defender
Jacob (Dubba) has made the left-back spot his own – exhibiting passion and dedication that has made him a hit with supporters. Having made his debut for the club at just age 7 Jacob has become a crucial member of the team. Jacob has developed into a hardworking, accomplished full-back.
Dwayne Ward - Defender
Dwayne has become an inspirational figure at the heart of Stockton’s defence and is one part of the most impressive defensive in the league which produced the best defensive record during the 08/09 season. Despite his average size Dwayne offers somewhat unexpected elegance on the ball and an unflappable manner. He is as comfortable on the ground as he is shrinking opposition forwards down to size with another timely intervention or last ditch tackle.
Michael Stokes - Defender
It is fair to say that the 08/09 season was Michael’s best as a Stockton Town player, at the heart of the Stockton’s defence. His performances are often faultless, impressing all with his cool composure, his poise on the ball and his bounding aerial ability.
Daniel Taylor - Defender
Daniel is a versatile and uncompromising defender capable of operating at full-back on the left or right. Daniel is composed, assured and strong in the tackle and also possesses great vision making him an big asset to the squad.
Callum Carberry - Midfield
Callum was the team's outstanding player during the 08/09 season and won the Players Player of the Year Award by a landslide majority. It’s not just goals and key assists that Callum has brought to the team, he has added guile, enthusiasm and that hard-to-find knack of making things happen. He is a player who is always motivated to succeed. Callum is the scorer of exquisite goals and his direct attacking play and skill on the ball provide a unique attacking threat. Callum finished as the teams top scorer with 30 goals in all competitions.
Reece Clamp - Midfield
Reece is a versatile, skilful and determined midfield player and is at home in any position, however, his natural ability is more suited to a more advanced position. Reece is a key player for Stockton Town, helping them achieve the division championship in the 08/09 season. Reece is also a player who is willing to track back and one capable of making a difference with his fleet-footed ability in and around the box.
Kyle Ucarer - Midfield
Kyle provides pace, industry and superb assists from any part of the pitch. Kyle had an impeccable season in the middle of the park and was often the man that made them tick last season, with his ability to get on the ball and make things happen. He also scored some important goals along the way. He is a brilliant reader of the game and is a player that is seemingly always one step ahead of the opposition.
Jack Davies - Midfield
Jack's wide range of attributes as a player, combined with his whole hearted approach, high energy levels with huge physical presence make him a valuable asset to Stockton Town. His outstanding performances during the 08/09 season didn’t go unnoticed winning him Managers Player of the year. Jack is one of the most talented footballers with his athleticism and raw power complimenting the industry and invention of midfield partner Kyle Ucarer.
Billy Savage - Midfield
Billy is a new addition this season and another player that can play in a variety of positions, including in the centre of the park and just off the front man. However, it is on the right of midfield that Billy is most effective, with his quality passing and direct running a constant threat to the opposition.
David Brown - Midfield
David recently joined the club and has made an instant impact during training. David has the attributes of an attacking midfield player, his athleticism makes him a constant threat. David is full of energy and enthusiasm these qualities will add strength to the squad.
Jordan Lindsay - Forward
Jordan has established himself as a prolific goal scorer at Stockton Town, scoring a remarkable 32 goals in 28 league and cup appearances. His sharp turn of pace and instinctive finishing have won him many admirers but it is the strength and commitment of Jordan's performances which have impressed most.
Josh Haley - Forward
Josh is an intelligent player and comfortable on the ball adding undoubted class to Stockton's frontline scoring vital goals in an outstanding first season. Josh is a formidable, hardworking player with an impressive strike rate, his attacking instinct resulted in 16 goals during season 08/09.
