STOCKTON TOWN FC GIRL'S UNDER 10s

Girls Under 10s Off To A Flyer

Stockton Town Football Club's Under 10s girls have made a flying start to their first ever season together.

After 14 games the team are standing top of the Russell Forster Youth League with 13 wins and 1 loss, scoring an impressive total of 59 goals with only 7 conceded along the way.

The Under 10s form is made even more impressive by the fact that the team only came together during the close season and managed only one friendly before the season started.

Manager Kelly Smith and coach Matty Carr have done a great job in getting the team playing exciting football, winning many admirers along the way with glowing references from referees and opposing coaches who have been hugely impressed with the standard of the team.

Football Development Officer Andy Burton has been impressed with the way the girls have adapted to playing together in such a short space of time saying, "The way the girls have started the season is absolutely fantastic and it’s a great credit to the coaches Kelly Smith and Matty Carr who are doing an excellent job.

"Also huge credit should go to the players and parents who have made the big commitment of travelling to Ox Close School in Washington on a weekly basis to play their matches.

"The players and parents are a credit to the club and we are proud to have them representing Stockton Town FC so positively.”
