Danny McWilliams is Stockton Town’s second summer signing following 3 years at Whitby Town. Danny returns to the Club having played briefly for us in the Teesside League as a 16 year old.
Danny is a Stockton lad with a great pedigree, Danny was released by Middlesbrough at 16 and after a brief spell with us joined Billingham Synthonia, he then moved on to Guisborough Town before moving up the pyramid to join Whitby Town.
Manager Michael Dunwell said after Danny had signed, ” once I heard Danny was available I had no hesitation in wanting him at the Club, I played against Danny a number of years ago and he made quite an impression on me and its great news that he has signed and he will bring further experience and quality to our squad.”
Danny said after signing, “when I came in to meet Michael and JD I couldn’t believe how much the Club had changed since I was last here and the quality of the facilities, once I had been to look around and understood the Club’s ambitions matched my own I couldn’t wait to sign”
