STOCKTON TOWN COLLECT HAT-TRICK OF AWARDS

Great news for everybody involved at Stockton Town Football Club.

Stockton Town FC is pleased to announce that the club has won 3 prestigious awards so far in 2009, a fantastic achievement for everyone involved with the club.

The first award the club received this year was the TJFA Recognition Award which Chairman Martin Hillerby collected live on air during Alistair Brownlees Radio show.

This is a great achievement, especially considering the Teesside Junior Alliance is the biggest junior league in Europe and to receive this recognition out of all of the clubs is fantastic news.

The club has since been given more great news when we were informed that the club has won the Durham County Club of the Year award resulting in the club being forwarded to the regional awards. Again this is more fantastic news and something for everybody involved with the club to be proud of.

The third award the club has won is the Durham County School Club Links Award which involves Stockton Town sending club coaches into local primary schools to deliver sessions for the local community, resulting in many of the children who take part in the sessions becoming involved with the club. The link that won the award was with local school Whitehouse Primary where club coaches help deliver afterschool clubs on a Thursday and Friday along with members of the school staff. Stockton Town and Whitehouse Primary will now be forwarded straight to the national final for this award.

Stockton Town FC are extremely proud to win all of these awards and a big thank you must go to all the volunteers involved who give up many hours of their spare time to help the club in so many ways. Without them the club would not be able to achieve this success.
