REDCAR 0-1 STOCKTON FC - 18/10/09 Under 12's Match Report Stockton travelled to unbeaten, top of the league, Redcar in what was going to be a very close game with both teams in good form. The first 20 minutes produced a tight midfield battle with both teams trying to take control. Turner broke through Redcar's defence just before the break but the keeper saved well at the near post. Stockton made a change at half time with Oliver coming on for Orchard. The game had now settled and both teams attacked each other at will, although Stevenson and Armatage both looked comfortable at the back. Upfront Gill and Turner where now receiving more support from Stockton's midfield and where causing the home team problems. Gill scored a fantastic goal with a great volley from 25 yards to give stockton a deserved lead. Redcar pushed men forward and heaped pressure on Stockton's back line with Stockton keeper Hulme making a match winning save with five minutes to go. Turner had a header cleared of the line at the other end and Stockton held on to win a throughly enjoyable game with both teams playing good attractive football.
