Match Report

Stockton u7 yellows entertained Leven AFC today in an early kick off.

The game was much anticipated by parents, players and coaches alike, as these matches have always been top-notch entertainment.

It was Leven who got the game underway with some bright open passing, which had Stockton defending like Leeds United have twice this season against the Boro. With both teams playing a crisp passing style nobody could take their eyes off the way both sets of kids were playing. It was Leven who got the first through an excellent build up on the left then a perfect side footed finish.

Stockton sprung into life and soon got a goal from a brilliant counter attack, from the back to front in four passes then a wonderful neat finish.

Both keepers were showing brilliant handling skills (goalie coaches take a bow) and starting quick attacks for both teams.

Stockton began to take control of the game but it was an excellent defensive display, which gave them the platform to go on and score the goals to give them a 4-1 victory.

Todays match showed the kids what tremendous character they have and an excellent team spirit as all kids played a big parts in todays performance.

Well done to Leven today you played your part in one of the best U7 football matches I have watched.  Referee today was Dominic Joynes who is getting better with game time – well-done ref.

Final score 4-1. Goalscorers Joseph Kennedy x 3 Miller Squires x 1.
