Stockton Town Football Club

The Academy will be delivered jointly between both the Stockton 6th Form College and Stockton Town FC and will give players a great opportunity to continue their education alongside their footballing careers.
Although there is no requirement to play for Stockton Town as part of the Academy, if players are strong enough and show a desire to do so they have a pathway into the Football Club across a multitude of areas. Players can enter into the very competitive Stockton Town U18s team that play in the County Durham U18’s Saturday League and also enter the FA Youth Cup, where opponents can be from professional clubs across the country. This is a stepping stone to the Clubs 1st team that currently compete’s at Step 5 of the National Pyramid in the Northern League 1st Division and also enter such prestigious competitions as the FA Cup and FA Vase.
With an amazing run in last season’s FA Vase competition Stockton Town reached the final playing at Wembley in front of a crowd of over 30,000 and the game broadcast live on BT Sport.
Stockton Town has a proven track record of developing players from their junior teams and giving them opportunities within their 1st team, evidence of this in the 70% of players in last season’s Wembley squad that had been through Stockton Towns youth system , which confirms the huge emphasis is placed on player development at the club. With the first team manager being keen on using players from within the club the Academy is therefore a great opportunity for any young footballers to enter the Stockton Town environment.
