Cup Fever Continues! U13’s through to County Cup Final

After the heroics of the first team the U13’s were looking to book their own Wembley date in the County Cup semi-finals. Hosting a strong South Shields team they started slowly and were 2 nil down from a great header and long range rocket. The lads kept their heads and were soon back on level terms with 2 great breaks with Max Howells scoring both with the first a great cross by Zak Lopez. It remained all square until half time with everything still to play for. Shortly after half time Stockton got their noses in front with Olly Shaw turning in a good cut back from Max Howells. It was end to end and Stockton missed a couple of chances to extend their lead when South Shields struck back with another long range effort. With 10 minutes to go Stockton went in front again with a great effort from Zak Lopez. The lads dug in and held out for a famous victory. Great character was shown by the lads to come back from 2-0 down to round off a memorable weekend.
