Anchors back to winning ways in League

James ‘Munchie’ Risbrough scored twice, Jamie Owens got his now obligatory weekly goal and Nathan Mulligan volleyed home spectacularly to give Stockton victory against Penrith today. Unfortunately Stockton gave up two soft goals again to make the last 15 minutes more anxious than they should have been when apparently cruising at 3-0. Chris Stockton suffered a nasty shoulder injury hopefully he’ll recover for next weeks massive Vase Quarter Final and we saw the introduction of Jack Lambert from the U18s squad. It appeared to be a routine victory with 25 minutes left but Penrith never gave up and a a gift goal gave them a bit of heart for the fight. Manager Michael Dunwell will want to work on those defensive lapses before the weekend.
